LIBRARY NOTESHey Everybody! It is time to Make a SPLASH! Summer is here and we are so excited about this year's summer reading program. Registration begins June 28th and continues right up until July 8th in the Just For Kids Area. We have so many fun programs planned in addition to our regular summer reading clubs. Our Book Quackers will be students entering K through Grade 2 and our Cannon Ball Readers will be students entering Grade 3 through Grade 6. When you register you will receive your reading log to keep track of all your books. Our lifeguards will be on duty Monday -Thursday from 10-7. Stop in and see them once a week to have them stamp your log, give you your stickers and prizes if you complete this week's activity sheet. AND....if you have heard the whispers, the rumors are true! One Silly Bandz will be awarded per water themed book! These special books have a fish or beachy sticker on the spine. Since supplies are limited, we will be asking kids to only take two themed books per week to make it fair for everyone. All the children's staff will be wearing our silly bandz so feel free to trade with us once a day! We also will be having the "Great Duck Hunt" starting July 12th! Check out the Just For Kids area for the week's "Wanted" posters. Find the duck and earn a big sticker! Don't miss our Kick-off program with Delaware Valley Raptors. Bill Streeter will be at the Main Street School on July 8th at 2:30pm with 6 of his magnificent feathered friends to make a splash in the air! Check out their website for more information about their rescue center: www.dvrconline.org Please check out our link on the main page for our Summer Reading Brochure to get all the details of all our great events! Remember summer is the time to read what you like and learn things you are interested in! Your library is one of the best places to have fun this summer and help you be a better student in September!
