Big Crowd Enjoys Locally Produced Film
by Jim Tarvin
An enthusiastic crowd attended the showing of “Winter of the Witch” Saturday night. Well-over fifty children and adults enjoyed the children’s film made in Goshen in 1969.
Sponsored by the Junior Friends of the Goshen Public Library and Historical Society, cider and donuts added to the fun and-following the showing- a walk in the dark around the old house featured in the film provided just the right amount of excitement to end the evening.
When a little girl about five years old, while walking around the supposedly haunted house, was asked by this rather elderly reporter if she thought a witch still lived in the attic, she responded, “Wasn’t she an actress?” Kids. What can you do with them today!
