Big Crowd Enjoys Locally Produced Film

by Jim Tarvin

An enthusiastic  crowd attended the showing of “Winter of the Witch” Saturday night.  Well-over fifty children and adults enjoyed the  children’s film made in Goshen in 1969.

IMG_4530 (2)Sponsored by the Junior Friends of the Goshen Public Library and Historical  Society,  cider and donuts added to the fun and-following the showing- a walk in the dark around the old house featured in the film provided just the right amount of excitement to end the evening.

When a little girl about five years old, while walking around the supposedly haunted house, was asked by this rather elderly reporter if she thought a witch still lived in the attic, she responded, “Wasn’t she an actress?”  Kids. What can you do with them today!
